Good Thing/Bad Thing
Which would you like first? The good thing or the bad thing?
??
Oh ok then, the bad thing. I've been very lax. As if you didn't know. I had all my data some time ago, so I really should have turned my experiment are off, but everything went quiet so I kept forgetting. But every so often people do my experiment. They are finding it through google after searching for various things, including "how to write phd thesis introduction" Nice.
So to anyone who has done my experiment recently, I would like to extend and massive thank you, and also an apology. I shall keep the data for now, as I may be able to use it in the future. But I have no taken the experiment offline.
Sort of.
Everything is still there, but there is a note at the top of the experiment page, and I've removed the submit button.
And the good news? Well, if you've read anything in recent months, you'll now I've been tagging XML files. It took a long time. It's very tiring. In recent weeks, I've been focusing pretty heavily on it in order to get it finished. And telling you about it isn't particularly interesting.
Well, rejoice with me in the fact that I have finally finished. My data is tagged!!!
Now I can move onto the analysis stage of my work. First up is looking at the demographic data, and then really simple counts like how many days people posted, average posts per day, that sort of thing. I'm working on that right now.
So soon, very soon, I will actually have something interesting (I hope) to tell you. I won't be able to publish everything I imagine, but if there is anything interesting, you'll be among the first to know.
Back to the grindstone then...

A Brief Explanation
I've always thought that if you don't have time to do something fully, don't do it at all. This is of course completely wrong.
I've been very busy with various things, and particularly work of late. I've been tagging blogs like a man possessed...or like a man with a fast approaching deadline if you will. So I've not really had time to write the big long catch up post that I've been meaning to. So I've done nothing.
But it occurred to me, that it is better to at least write a little something, than nothing at all. Let people know you've not given up.
So hello there. Sorry for not getting back sooner but I've been dead busy with personal things (moving, planning a wedding etc) and doing lots of work. It's going well (moving wedding planning and work) and to keep you hooked, the deadline I'm approaching means I will have some interesting things to say real soon. Some proper results if you will.
I'll be back with more details in good time.
Thank you for listening.
